PAN D’EZECHIELE is a semi-finished mix for a bread inspired by the only recipe found in the Holy Scriptures, specifically in the Old Testament (Ezekiel 4:9). It is made with wheat, barley, chickpeas, lentils, millet, and spelt.
This recipe is unique because it originates from God’s direct command to the prophet Ezekiel, instructing him to take these ingredients, bake bread, and eat it for 190 days. We have revived and formulated this ancient biblical recipe to create a bread with a uniform structure, a thin crust, and a unique aroma.
A Nutrient-Rich, High-Protein Bread
In biblical wisdom, PAN D’EZECHIELE is considered a nutritious and wholesome food, as it contains a balanced combination of grains and legumes, rich in proteins and essential nutrients. Compared to the original biblical recipe, we have replaced fava beans with chickpeas, which are higher in protein and minerals.
Overall, PAN D’EZECHIELE is a high-protein bread (15.6%), light, and long-lastingly soft. It is finished with a pleasant surface decoration made with spelt semolina, which is included separately in the packaging.
