WHO WE ARE

"ESKA snc di Scucchiaro Lino & C." was established in 1981 following the transfer of a company that produced fats and emulsifiers for the food industry, in which Lino and his wife Anna, present owners of ESKA, had a majority stake. The objective was to expand the importation and sale of industrial margarine made in Germany, a business that the previous company had started up in 1974. At the beginning of the 1980s the company's policy was to maintain, to the extent possible, the small sales network it had inherited.

At the end of 1983 the company was taken over completely by the Scucchiaros, who were joined by their eldest son, Mauro. The following year saw the first public appearance in a national trade show and thus began an interesting experience in the sale of margarine throughout Italy.

In 1985 another son, Andrea, started collaborating in the logistical management of the company.

In 1986 the company was appointed as agent for a highly esteemed Danish company specialised in the production of bread and pastry mixes and semi-finished products. The company's complete reorganisation did not take place until the couple’s son Franco joined in 1988, after earning a university degree.

Importante fu la scelta, all'inizio dell'anno successivo, di avvalersi della collaborazione di una società di consulenza tecnico-commerciale che favorì una significativa svolta nella gestione aziendale condotta fino ad allora. Si decise così di avviare una riorganizzazione informatica, di rafforzare la forza vendite, costituita da agenti con funzioni di capo area, di diversificare la gamma dei prodotti commercializzati.

At the start of the following year an important choice was made, namely, to rely on the services of a technical-commercial consulting firm, which favoured a major turning point in the company's management. It was thus decided to launch a reorganisation of the information system, strengthen the sales force, made up of agents with area manager functions, and diversify the range of products sold.

In all these years ESKA has always sought to position itself in the market for medium-high quality products and has specialised in serving artisan bread and pastry makers, increasingly making a name for itself throughout the country.

This company philosophy led it to become one of Italy's very first companies to obtain certification to ISO 9002:1994 and later to ISO 9001:2000, as well as certification for the production of organic mixes for bread and sweet baked goods.

Its present objectives include: promotion of its mark of quality throughout Italy and gradual penetration into the most prestigious export markets.

ESKA is firm in its intention to continue along the path traced over the years and pursue a policy founded upon service and innovation, which perfectly translates into reality what has long been the company’s slogan:
